Not for me, I’m trying my very best to meet my assignment and project’s dateline which falls on Monday… T.T So where you went for today’s celebration? =) Tomorrow will be my mom’s birthday.. 1th of Sept.. Just one day before Merdeka, moreover she was born on 1957… XD One day too late to be anak Merdeka..

Since tomorrow Mom will be working, and she’s gonna be very tired after work, she we celebrated her birthday in advanced on today.. As the title mentioned, we went to Marche at The Curve.. XD Luckily it wasn’t heavy traffic when we went at around 5pm, Marche wasn’t that crowded also.. =) Wow, we were like having feast there.. Appetizers, main courses, dessertsss~~ XD I think I was too greedy la, after I finished everything, my stomach was like gonna burst anytime.. >.<" I won’t be that greedy anymore… I had Rosti with sausage as appetizer, Salmon Steak as main course and Chocolate Cake & Fruit cake for desserts… Wow, I had some bakeries also.. Haha, thanks Dad for blanjering us~ I also curi makan other people’s meal.. So it was really really really a "full" day.. =P I’ve never eaten that much for so longgggg~ Hehe….

Anyway, I enjoyed the family outing as I won’t follow my family out normally for dinner ’cause I’m getting fatter and fatter.. T.T Hehe.. A Little Dim Sum Place… XD

Wednesday, August 29th, 2007

It’s time for food and drinks again~~ XD Yesterday after my class, Cody brought me to a dim sum place at SS2, called the A Little Dim Sum Place.. =) He said that was the place that he and his gang once worked part time at.. The shop was originally located at Sri Hartamas, and it relocated to SS2.. ^.^

Place

The upper is the environment in the shop.. Bottom picture is the location and outlook of the shop.. =)

Let’s talk about the shop’s ambience.. Ermm, very spacious la the shop, somemore there wasn’t many customers when we went that time.. So the feel not bad, abit like Secret Recipe outlet.. XD Ok, back to the food.. we overall ordered 8 types of dimsum… Wah lao, I didn’t know Cody ticked so many.. Oh, the ordering system is like in Old Town, have to tick on the given paper… So we got Fried Yam Puffs, the regular Siu Mai, King of Siu Mai (Sounds like KOF =P), some steamed don’t know what wrap which taste exactly like HK Chee Cheong Fun, Avocado Wrap, Cheese-A-Round, Bacon Roll and the Fried don’t know what Mango Banana.. Got 8 or not? =/

Menu_1

Sample of their menu… Looks nice?

Let me do some review on the dimsum.. Yam Puff.. Normal lor… My favourite.. XD King of Siu Mai is actually Siu Mai with bigger prawns on it.. RM5 for the 3 bijik ne~ The regular one RM2.50 only (Promotion price somemore.. =.=") The steamed thingy is exactly like HK CCF as I mentioned, so nothing special but they said it’s their latest innovation wor.. =P Avocado Wrap looks like bird nest but taste like the other dim sum which got lotus paste inside de? Outside full with sesame one~~ Chinese called it "Zi Ma Jou".. Yea, that avocado thingy tastes very alike that.. ^.^ My favourite was the Cheese-A-Round.. Super cheezy ne, wrapping some meat in fried in beancurd.. Wah syok~ I like Cheese~ XD The Bacon Roll also not bad la.. Wrapped with beancurd also de~ =) And the most special thingy I saw was the last one.. Why dim sum got Banana and Mango in it? Fried with hams in it some more.. The idea is weird but taste not bad worr… XD

Their food quite creative also, haven’t see some kinds of them in other place before.. They also serve Mango Tong Yuen, too bad only in the evening.. Have to go try it some other time.. XD Our bill overall total up to RM40 la~ So I think still not so bad, that 8 types of dimsum already could make us couldn’t move after makan… XD

Food1

Upper picture is Yam Puffs and the thingy that look and taste like CCF.. =P Bottom picture, left side are the King of Mai Mais, the right ones are the regular Mais.. =P (Can see the prawns? XD)

Food2

In the left photo, that’s the leftover King Mai, two bijik of bird nest-liked Avocado Wrap.. =P Below is the Bacon Rolls and The Superb Cheese-A-Round… XD Yummy.. The right picture is the Banana and Mango thingy.. Looks yummy horr? =D’

Sek Hou… =D’

Haihh, it’s really a sad case to attend classes on Saturday.. T.T Due to our fei chai lecturer took leave on last Monday and Tuesday which affected our classes, so we replaced both lecture and tutorial yesterday.. 9am straight away to 1:30pm.. >.<" But you know la, who will reach sharp at 9am? So the class started at 9:30am and ended around 1pm with a teatime break in between.. =P

After the class, I went to BTS to meet up with Joyce.. Wow, long time didn’t mention this name in my blog.. We had our lunch in this new place on the third floor, called Sek Hou.. It is located at the Delifrance place, Delifrance closed shop quite some times ago.. =P This Sek Hou was quite crowded ne, maybe because it’s newly opened.. Didn’t take a photo on that place because many customers were sitting along the entrance there, scared they perasan that I’m papparazi want to take their photos pulak… =P

Mej

Me and Joyce taking photo while queueing for withdrawing $$$.. The Mr.A behind damn tall.. Spoiled our picture.. >.<" Sorry for the fleshy cheeks.. T.T

After browsing the menu for quite some time (First time see the menu very excited ma.. XD Somemore they provide quite a number of choices of food ne.. Compare to Food and Tea.. =)), I decided to order Noodle with Chicken Legs in Honey Sauce… It’s very big portion for me.. The chicken they gave almost cover the whole plate of noodle..It’s very nice, the chicken and the sauce for the noodle are sweet, I like I like… It costs RM9.50, okie la for a place like that and for that portion.. I ordered Longan Milk for drink.. Errr, the drink nothing special, just normal milk + few bijik of longans.. But they serve it in a long, tall thin glass which makes it very hard to be drank.. =.=" Bad concept.. Then we had Crispy Mango Cheese as appetizer.. Err, really very crispy, but their mango very sour la.. So tasted abit weird crispy + sour + abit salty for Rm5.50, 5 bijik.. Not a good idea also… =P Joyce ordered a grilled Chicken Chop with Portugese Sauce.. I didn’t try it, so I don’t know how does the Portugese Sauce tasted like.. Looks like sweet and sour tomato sauce.. =P

Menu

Sek Hou’s menu… Sample of food page and drinks page… XD

Hmmm.. The food are not bad, so as the environment.. If you get to sit near the balcony of the second floor, then it will be great.. Although nothing to see at that corner place.. Can see people queue up for tickets in GSC.. =P Should try should try.. Oh ya, their speed of serving also very fast.. We waited for around 10 minutes only before we were served.. But the waiter told us in advance that it will take 30 minutes for the dish to be served if we order their baked rice~~ Luckily I didn’t think of eating those.. =P I think I’ll be back there to try their other food.. All look tempting ne.. =P’

Longan

The slim Longan Milk.. =P Saw Joyce day dreaming there? XD

Crispy

The Crispy Mango Cheese.. Looks nice but tastes weird.. =P

Noodle

My Honey Sauce Chicken Noodle… Looks delicious, tastes delicious.. XD

Yohoo~ Nowadays didn’t manage to review on movies always.. And I feel that I blogged on what I ate more often.. =P ‘Cause been kinda busy lately, no time for movies but still have to eat.. XD

My cute and smart cousin, Irene took off to study Medicine in Jakarta yesterday.. She got this loan from MARA and will be studying for 6 or 7 years~ Wow, that’s long man~ After she got this loan, I realised the difference of treatment between B***(being censored to avoid sensitive issues =P) and non.. =.=" My cousin is consider as a B*** since her dad’s family is one of the native families in Sabah la~ She got this loan, sponsored for buying a laptop, got good arrangement on everything for studying there.. Those who went with her are all Malays… And what we got? =\

Ok, put that aside, after a sad farewell with Irene (which my aunt cried uncontrollablely~ And I don’t know why my sis also cried).. Me, my sis and two Aunts went to Sushi King in Low Yat for Unagi!!! Yes!! At last found someone to drag along for Unagi~~~ XD Luckily didn’t miss it this season.. Too bad one of my Aunts is a vegetarian~ so she only ate the rice on the sushis… Ngohoho~ Got la, she can eat Inari and Tamago those lor~

Hmm.. I’ve tried most of the Unagi thingy la.. First was the…… OMG I forgot the name after a day.. =P some Unagi sushi wrap with thin egg layer.. Hmm, that tasted normal.. Then I ate this Tanuki Unagi (If I didn’t mistaken the name~) This is the best thingy for the whole Unagi thingy.. 4 bijik of Unagi sushi wrapped with some crispy bites~ My aunt took another plate after trying 1 bijik~ XD Then was this Unagi Hasami Age (I forgot the name also.. =P Next time have to write down the name when I makan that time, old already… >.<) This thingy contained two quite big Unagi wrapped with two pieces of fried eggplant… Those weren’t bad, but one of them wasn’t thoroughly cooked, so they replaced an entire new plate of those thingy for us~ Means we ate 3 pieces of the eggplant + sushi thingy… XD

The last one that I tried for the Unagi was Unagi sandwich.. They were two pieces as sushi also, but were wrapped with two slices of toasted bread and covered with sesame.. Sis said those tasted kind of weird, but I think it’s just bread + rice + unagi + sesame… Hahaha… Actually the ingredients they used in those Unagi thingy are almost the same.. It just that see whether those sushis are wrapped with what only.. Didn’t manage to try their Unagi Bento or Don because I scared we can’t finish them.. Other than those Unagi, I ate quite alot of other sushis also.. Wow, very full~ Looking forward for the RM2 promotion ne, YChen~~! XD

P/S: The Unagi thingy I ate were cost RM4 per plate except the Hasami Age, that was RM7 if not mistaken.. =P

From top left, clock wise~ "I forgot the name =P", Tanuki Unagi, Hasami Age and Unagi Sandwich… =)

Ratatouille… =)

Tuesday, August 21st, 2007

I supposed to have class today but my fei chai lecturer is on leave these two days, so gonna have replacement class on this Saturday.. T.T So I met with my project partner, Ricky at MV for discussion.. Starbucks Mid Valley is under renovation.. T.T Anyway, after the discussion session, Ricky suggested for movie~ Since it was still early, and we both wanted to watch Ratatouille also, so we decided to watch~ XD (I thought no movie anymore for this week as everyone is not free.. T.T)

Ratatouille is a Pixar animation for almost 2 hours ne.. Quite long for an animation.. >.<" It is about this special rat, Remy, which has great smelling sense.. This Remy fella is different from other rats in his colony, that he don’t eat rubbish as them, he likes food~~ So high class ne… One day, he got washed away to Paris and ended up in a restaurant opened by his chef idol, Gusteau~ who is dead~ XD Then Remy met this young fella, Linguini, who worked in that kitchen.. This fella was mistaken as the one who cooked a pot of soup which was actually cooked by Remy.. So this Remy helps Linguini in becoming a chef~ But this Linguini turned out to be the…………. as usual, you can’t find the ending here.. =P

This animation is quite funny.. Some scenes really made me laugh out loud.. XD In term of values…. Hmmmm…. There are some I guess.. Haha.. Quite meaningful in a way la.. But the rats are damn cute… Not the real one of course~ =P Should watch should watch.. XD Anyway, Ratatouille is a kind of French cuisine which they claimed that it’s the best food in the world… I wonder… =P

Unagi with Kuih Bulan?

Saturday, August 18th, 2007

Haha.. Confused with my blog title? Actually I’m trying to say two separate things la.. Yesterday, after meeting with my project supervisor, I went to Sogo with my Mom for Sushi King (SK), because the SK in The Mall is still under renovation.. Mom keeps on telling me that their Salmon Steak is nice and wants me to try it very much.. On arrival only I remember, Yes!! It’s Unagi season this month~ Every August of the year is Unagi time~~~ My favourite but always missed it.. XD There are some special sushis, bentos and rice/noodle sets with Unagi… But too bad, since Mom wanted me to try Salmon Steak, I had to have that.. T.T

Dsc00180

Unagi unagi~ I want to eat more.. >.<"

Dsc00182

The Salmon Steak I had.. Whole set Rm19.90.. Veri filling.. No room for Unagi anymore.. T.T

But yet I tried some of the Unagi sushis la~ That makes me super full~ ^.^ The Salmon wasn’t bad but I still prefer my beloved Eel~~~ T.T Thought of asking YChen to go along on Tuesday but she’s very busy with preparation for exams and presentations~~~ Lonely~~~~~~~~ T.T

Ok, the second topic.. Remember that I promised to check out the prices of Starbucks mooncakes previously? Yea, I found ou tthe prices today, and also saw the nice packaging~ But I still prefer last year’s packaging anyway.. =P The normal box with 4 different flavours (Read on my previous blogs to find out the flavours XD) costs RM50 (One bijik costs how much? =P).. Then there’s another nicer packaging, nicer box~ Consists of those 4 different flavours bijiks and a brown colour mug.. And costs RM98~ That mug costs RM48 ne~ Expensive nyer XD~ But looks nice for gifts la~ It is up to you whether to buy it or not.. If you have money then should try also la~ OK? Alina already gave recommendation on which one is better previously (Refer to previous blog also XD)

Mooncakes

Upper set is RM98 set.. Nice hor the box? Can use in National Treasure.. =P The lower is the normal package.. XD

Dsc00188

The way Starbucks The Mall displays their mooncakes.. Looks attractive? =)

Dsc00189

Nah, the description of the mooncakes.. Can see aa? =P

Must see videos…

Wednesday, August 15th, 2007

Yesterday I came across two self-taken videos on YouTube by one of our "beloved" friends, Mr. Cody Tan… These two videos feature our Mr. Cody taking himself acting and singing songs in the car, with his driver beside him.. This fella a.k.a the Malao memang famous in our college in making fun around.. So I’m helping him to gain popularity for his videos ne.. I guess by now, many of our college mates have already seen them… He scolded me yesterday for spreading the videos but just now I met him, he said he’s already planning for another videos.. =.=" Really that syok?? There you go, Stupid MV 1 and Stupid MV 2.. Enjoy.. =P (Hope you won’t get nightmare after viewing them… XD)

P/S: I’ve attached the videos in this blog entry.. If you can’t view it, just click on the links above.. =P Malao, you really have to feel honour that your videos appear in my blog ne… XD

Malao singing some Chinese song… Better than William Hung? =P

The second song, Kenangan Terindah I guess the name (It was the name put on his YouTube site.. =P) OMG, I think I need to charge Malao money already, advertise him so much… XD

Mooncake… XD

Saturday, August 11th, 2007

As usual, I was working today, on Saturday.. >.< There were some fairs going on in PWTC and Aishah was on MC today, so we were kind of busy.. Anyway, this morning we received our Starbucks mooncakes.. There were 4 types of mooncakes and they supply us 5 of each for sampling.. Yay~ XD That’s why I’m still so loyal with Starbucks.. =P I managed to try all 4~ They are Tiramisu, Hazelnut Latte, Berries Cheese and Green Tea Chocolate flavours.. Other partners didn’t really fancy the mooncakes.. They said very sweet, maybe they didn’t used to eating mooncakes as I was the only Chinese partner today.. So I sapu almost half of them.. Muahaha.. Don’t jealous.. XD

Okie, about the taste.. I prefer Green Tea Chocolate, then Berries Cheese, Tiramisu, and Hazelnut Latte goes last.. The green tea tastes like those green tea mooncake from Kam Lun Tai etcc~ Taste good because there is not too much of chocolate paste in it, so won’t be too sweet.. Same goes to Berries Cheese.. I thought it will be very sweet as the name, but the sweetness is just moderate.. Not bad with a little bit of cheezy~ Tiramisu tastes abit weird, maybe mooncake doesn’t taste good with coffee flavour, but Tiramisu is still acceptable.. However, the Hazelnut Latte really tastes.. I can say is sucks.. Too much of coffee taste blends with the high level of sweetness.. When bitter + sweet come together.. =.=" Can you imagine the taste? However, I didn’t try them with coffee or tea.. Maybe they taste different pairing with drinks~ Hope can try them with the pairing of tea~ XD

Ermm, the mooncakes will start to be selling from 15th of August onwards.. It comes with some nice packagings with different prices.. Didn’t manage to see those for sell, we only opened the box of mooncakes for sample at the moment.. So will post the pictures of the packaging later once I got them.. I’m also not sure of the prices right now.. Will let you guys know once I asked on the prices ok? I think they should be nice as gift la~

P/S: So I ate my first mooncake for this year damn early huh? When is Mooncake Festival? Can someone tell me? >.<

Mooncake2

Our mooncakes for this year.. Remember to support us oo~ XD

Mooncake

Purposely took the inner part of the mooncakes for you to see, with the help of Hazim.. Haha.. Let me introduce to you.. From top left, clockwise.. Mr. Green Tea Chocolate, Ms. Berries Cheese, Mr. Hazelnut Latte and Mr. Dark Dark Tiramisu.. =P (Hazim, you should wipe the knife everytime you make a cut on the mooncake.. The Tiramisu looks abit…… =.=")

IZZI again… =P

Friday, August 10th, 2007

Yo~~ Since I still have plenty of IZZI’s vouchers haven’t been used, today my Mom, Bro, Sis and me went to IZZI again for lunch.. We reached around 12pm, the outlet was very quiet… So I had a Chicken Steak with Pasta for lunch.. We also ordered IZZI Classico pizza, Mac and Cheese, Spaghetti Bolognese, Soup of the Day(Corn soup) and Vietnamese Spring Roll.. Hmm, Alina has this penyakit which only remember to take the photo of the food after eating half of it.. =.=" Sorry, next time I’ll try my best to take the photos of the food, so that you can have some visualization on how "delicious" the food are~ XD

Ermm, about the food.. The Chicken thingy I had was nice… With mushroom sauce, the portion was ngam ngam for me but my mom said it’s still small.. >.< I’m not a pig!! =P Mac and Cheese was nice, but feel abit muak when it turned cold.. Didn’t try the bolognese, have to ask my Bro for opinion… We ate the Spring Rolls fresh (means without frying), I think they were fine but my Mom found it very hard and cold since they were raw.. Hehe.. Very full la today, really couldn’t really walk after that.. Had a glass of bottomless soft drinks also, only managed to refill once.. =P The price was still very expensive, we used a 50% discount on total food bill voucher.. And the bill cost us RM75 after the discount… =.=" Anyway, they have some lunch promo set at RM9.90 with one starter, a main-course, a drink and a….. dessert??? Forgot.. But I think that’s the reason why it was so pack the time we left..

Dsc00168

Sis and IZZI… Very empty hor? That was at 12pm… Customers hadn’t come yet..

Dsc00169_1

One of the food that I remembered to take picture of.. Chicken Steak with Pasta.. Look nice huh? It would be nicer if they give me Spaghetti..

Dsc00171

Mac n cheese.. I remember to take photo of this too.. And that’s the last one.. =P Does it look like Lasagna instead of Mac and Cheese?

Then we walked for a while in Sg. Wang, went to see working shoes for me.. =P About 45 minutes after the heavy IZZI lunch, Mom proposed to have Tong Sui.. =.=" Wah lao, she wasn’t full, was she???? So we went to the Scoop Tea Dessert House on the 6th floor, they have another branch in 3rd floor also, right at a corner.. So I had a bowl of Fu Juk Yi Mai (Beancurd Barley =P), then Mom went and ordered so many pastries to makan.. Yao Char Guai la, Gao Ji la, Yam Cake la.. Wahhh~ I tried to makan abit, or else my Mom will sapu all, later can’t digest.. =.=" After that I really felt that my stomach was going to explode anytime~ Really felt the pain ne~ T.T Then everyone sat there didn’t want to leave because of toooooo full.. This teaches us, don’t be greedy next time.. >.<" After that, I went for my project class at 4pm.. Sad, had to go class… T.T

Dsc00173

The Tong Sui shop we went… =)

Dsc00172_1

See our desserts, 45 minutes after heavy lunch at IZZI.. Sotplug.. =.="

Me and Mom at the dessert shop.. Sorry for the big arms.. T.T

Malaysian = Courteous????

Wednesday, August 8th, 2007

Are Malaysian courteous? Still remember that don’t know how long ago that Reader Digest had published that KL was one of the rudest countries, or some sort like that? So what do you think? Are we that rude? Hmm, some may ask why I suddenly bring on this issue.. Yesterday when I was in KTM on my way back from MV, it was sooo packed.. That was due to right after office hour.. Actually this kind of situations can be seen always and everywhere.. Everyone was trying to stuff near the train’s entrance, so kiasu and scared that they wouldn’t manage to get down from the train when reach their destinations…

Then I saw this pregnant lady boarded the train.. Her tummy was already extremely biggggg but she was very very skinny… So I bet she sure suffered in this crowded train.. She stood very near to two seats which were occupied by two ladies.. One is a Malay auntie which pretended sleeping after she saw this pregnant lady.. The other lady continued with her magazine as if she didn’t see this pregnant lady.. So? What do you think? What if you are the one who is pregnant (Your wife, in case you are a guy).. And no one willing to offer you seat? Moreover, in such a packed situation? Then there were two passengers left their seats right behind this pregnant ladi and got off the train.. There were these two teenagers rushed very fast to the seats scaring that they will die if they don’t sit.. =.="

Indeed, I saw many kind people who offer their seats to those who in need more.. But, the group of brainless people I mentioned earlier has brought down our name.. Haihh, if you read this, no offend, and if you think you are one of them, please seriously consider on the matter.. Me, as one of the KL citizens, felt so ashame of our attitude of "SOOO considerate".. >.<*

P/S: Some other things that pissed me off ->> Please stand on your left side of the escalator when your are taking it at any train stations (Read the signs located at the stations).. And don’t stand infront of the door of any entrance, scaring that you cannot enter to the trains, lifts etc.. You won’t die by letting people to come out first…
